Community Kindy Heuheu Street is a purpose-built kindy that caters for children
from 2 - 5 years, situated in the local Taupo CBD.

Choosing the Community Kindy will mean your child will be in a safe, caring
environment with teachers who are employed for their knowledge,
commitment and love of children. Your child will enjoy an environment where
they develop meaningful relationships with others and
the confidence to achieve their own goals.

They identify children's individual fascinations and plan programmes according
to these fascinations. They also ensure they make
links to how the foster literacy and numeracy
development is supported as part of the BE SCHOOL READY programme.

School Zones

With ever increasing rolls, some schools in Taupo have had to start a school living zone or catchment area, where prospective students living outside this zone will need to apply to the school board for a ‘special application’ and are not guaranteed to be accepted.

If you are currently deciding on an area to live in and are wondering where the school zones are I hope this guideline will help:

PRIMARY to INTERMEDIATE:

Waipahihi School:

Home Zone - All students who live within the home zone as per the following link shall be entitled to enrol at Waipahihi School www.waipahihi.school.nz
